In fairness to me, I chose a bad bit of road, but it did set me back. I will revisit the three wheelers in due course as standard bikes are really not comfortable for me. Any recommendations?

Re: Recumbent cycling

The featured rider from the video above will be in touch with you. I have passed to him to sell the bike. Yes, I did buy one, under the cyclescheme (subsequently I bought it out of the scheme because I left the employer concerned). I was lucky and bought one new from old stock in a small specialist cycle shop. Given ICE stopped making them a few years ago, getting a new one was remarkable.

I have hardly used it though. It has done less than 100 miles since my purchase. I struggled to learn it, and hurt myself. I already had knee problems. I should have purchased a trike frankly.

Time to sell it.

You can see a video of my daughter's boyfriend giving it a go: http://youtu.be/PPuTKkp8Rdo

Re: Recumbent cycling

Did you buy this bike? I tried one of these a few years ago and loved it to bits! I've been riding 2 and 3 wheel recumbents since 1996! I'd like to buy one of these if someone wants to sell one if the price isn't too steep!

Re: Broke my ICE B1I only purchased this a few weeks ago, my first recumbent. It was an old stock model and needed a good oiling.

Shame my knee is not fully recovered yet,

Re: Broke my ICE B1I only purchased this a few weeks ago, my first recumbent. They did though say they had doubts about this being a fault as they have not seen it before and the images suggested to them considerable lateral force has been applied.

The only lateral force would have been me trying not to fall off, so I am not best pleased by what they have said but as they are sending the parts they are clearly giving me the benefit of any doubt.

Given they stopped making this bike a couple of years ago and it has sat in Smiths Cycles for a good while, I do wonder, despite it being sold as new, just what treatment it might have had over the last couple of years.

Having used this bike for only a few hours so far, thanks to bad weather, work commitments, and an injured knee (from an earlier attempt) I am not best pleased the bike failed like this and am very concerned for the future, especially as they have said they have no more replacement parts after this. Will be interesting to see how they will deal with the 3 year warranty (and 6 year manufacturer liability for manufacturing faults) if there are further problems. Hopefully I am worrying unnecessarily and in the unlikely event that any other problems come up in the future these will be dealt with in good faith.

Re: Recumbent cycling

and other great review: http://www.bentrideronline....

Re: Recumbent cycling

Another great review: http://www.recumbentjournal...

Re: I was looking for a free open source video editor for Linux and came across OpenShot Video, which…

Incredible.

I quite like Acapella (having many years ago been to see the Flying Pickets performing live in Manchester). Could never have the patience to put together a video like this.

Hats off to the author though

Geoffrey

Re: A journey to Sweden

My time in Sweden has come to an end, and, sadly, I never managed to stay over for a weekend and have my wife join me.
